What is smelly hair syndrome?

In one Canadian article I found the following description: "It smells like sour milk, a wet dog, moldy hay, potatoes, an old shoe, or dirty socks."

In fact, there can be many reasons for this phenomenon:

  • seborrheic dermatitis
  • psoriasis
  • fungal infections
  • cicatricial alopecia
  • hormonal disorders
  • vitamin D deficiency
  • infrequent washing

What shall I do? How to treat?

Calling in FBI agents to deal with slippery surfaces (based on Dr Jeff Donovan):

  • F - fungi: "kill fungi"
  • B - bacteria: "kill bacteria"
  • I - inflammation : "reduce inflammation"

slippery coating - reduce excess sebum

In fact, it is necessary to treat the cause - the main disease, to eliminate deficiency states, and then the unpleasant smell will disappear by itself.

Interesting fact: it has been proven that hair follicles react to smell. During the experiment, the follicles really liked the smell of sandalwood - the growth phase was prolonged.

Everyone smells of sandalwood and let the top of the head smell so that you want to kiss it.
