How to prepare for colposcopy?
Special preparation for the procedure is not necessary. The only recommendation is to refrain from sex 2-3 days before visiting the gynecologist and temporarily stop taking vaginal pills, douching and tampons. All this can affect the microflora of the vagina and distort the results of the examination. It is advisable to undergo the examination immediately after the end of the critical days. Before going to the doctor, you need to take a warm shower.
