What is Hair Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy for hair before and after
The main advantage of mesotherapy is the absence of age limits – it is suitable for women and men from 18 years old. Among its benefits, minimal discomfort, a short recovery period, and safety are also noted.

How is scalp mesotherapy performed?
Firstly, a trichologist examines the scalp to assess the hair's condition. To get a clinical picture, tests may be prescribed, and only after that, a decision is made regarding the necessity of mesotherapy. One week before the procedure, taking medications that affect blood clotting is prohibited. It's also recommended to avoid using dry shampoos, masks, and oils for styling.
Before starting scalp mesotherapy, an antiseptic preparation is applied to the scalp. The doctor determines the injection sites along the hair growth line, spaced approximately every 1-1.5 centimeters. The duration of the mesotherapy process depends on the size of the area and usually lasts 30-40 minutes. After administering all injections, the scalp is treated with an antiseptic. During the procedure, the client may feel slight pricking and mild tingling sensations, which quickly subside.
Hair mesotherapy is done once a week, typically consisting of a course of 8 procedures. After the initial two or three sessions, the dormant follicles (hair bulbs) begin to open, which immediately results in stronger hair, reduced fragility, and less hair loss.
Experts advise against washing the hair for 1-2 days after mesotherapy to allow the scalp to fully recover. During this period, it's better to avoid prolonged sun exposure, swimming in pools or saunas, massaging the treated area of the scalp, and consuming alcohol (due to the risk of blood vessel dilation).
Contraindications for hair mesotherapy:
- Blood disorders;
- Oncological conditions;
- Autoimmune disorders;
- Psoriasis, eczema, atopic dermatitis;
- Diabetes;
- Epilepsy;
- Allergies to the components of the mesotherapy preparations;
Additionally, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as during temporary illnesses like acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and the flu, mesotherapy is not recommended.
