And now in order. Fordyce spots (FS) are hyperplastic sebaceous glands that are often located in places where the skin is very thin and delicate. Most often, these are the mucous membranes of the mouth, labia, nipples. Although there are still interesting glands on the nipples — Montgomery (these "pimples" are of most interest to pregnant women, as they become most noticeable during pregnancy), secrete a certain matter that moisturizes the areola and has bactericidal properties.

But let's go back to FS —  these white pimples on the labia are absolutely normal, you don't need to be afraid of them, because:
1. They are absolutely benign;
2. Do not harm health;
3. They are not sexually transmitted (that is, it is your, native property from nature).
4. They do not cause discomfort.

Most often, they are first noticed in adolescence (13-17 years). But there are cases when FS increase in size and Fordyce cysts are formed, this phenomenon occurs more often in women. The reason is the blockage of the ducts of the apocrine sweat glands. In such cases, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
